It’s early Tuesday morning…
In just a few minutes you’ll quarterback the morning affairs of the household, and then its off to a packed day of work, and an evening with clients.
but just now, you have a few precious quiet moments to yourself
You slip into your closet, and the lights come on automatically – subtle, indirect, low key and comfortable.
Your things for the day are arranged from the night before at a custom designed dressing station.
Everything is right at hand.
Time is of the essence, but there’s no need to rush
You glance appreciatively at the picture of your loved one in its place of prominence
Your eye catches your new red bottoms, displayed on their display shelf ready for nightlife
Everything is neatly organized and ready to hand
You smile to yourself when you notice the shelf is lacquered to the exact lipstick red shade of the bottom of your shoes
It was an extravagance ordering that color specifically to match, but a little luxury is always in order.
Besides, it’s your favorite color. It makes you feel happy.
You glance over to a second station which holds things for the summer weekend, together with the luggage.
You don’t have to pack all at once, but can toss a few things in as time permits. (you won’t be rushed on friday when you try to beat the hamptons traffic to the summer house).
Is this picture of a perfect closet interior a total mirage or an achievable goal?
An ultimate closet is totally achievable, and less work then you might think.
Good interior design contributes to a serene life, and I view custom closet interiors as no exception to the rule
Your closet might be a compact reach-in or a spacious dressing room, but it holds essential things – some of them the more precious things in your life. Why wouldn’t you give it the attention it deserves?
